Broward Politics: It's great to be a Florida Gator!, Bobby DuBose says

Fort Lauderdale District III candidate Bobby DuBose says his University of Florida ties made him a magnet for other Gators in town, who helped him raise money. For the record, Jim Blosser, who threw the fund-raiser I asked about in this video, is a University of Miami grad. But DuBose said his Gator pals helped him connect with folks in the fund-raising world.
DuBose was speaking to the Sun Sentinel editorial board and reporter Brittany Wallman.
"Sistrunk needs to be a destination, where right now, people just drive through it,'' he said.
His assessment of Carlton Moore's performance: "hard worker.''
DuBose says he could bring "civility'' to the City Commission.
"Let's just face it a lot of times it was the mayor and Carlton going at it. A lot of times they would get in this deadlock and things would not progress, and District III at the end of the battle would suffer.''
The top need for the district: economic development, he said, and neighborhood safety.
