cadillac has gone back to rear-wheel-drive, so has chrysler. No prestigious car company would go to fwd. mercedes, porche, rolls royce, jaguar, infinity, bmw, mustang, corvette, camaro, challenger, snow plows ha ha are all rwd and will never change!!
Next experiment...next time u are in some snow and no one or car is around. just floor it and watch the whole front of the car slide sideways no matter which way you steer. In rwd if u do the same thing your rear might slide sideways but you always have control of your steering and can control it. fwd sucks!!!!!
they mad fwd cars so ppl couldn't work on them easy like they could back in the day. Turned the engines sideways so you couldn't get to your sparkplugs. 1970's eldorados and toronados were fwd but they're engines were straight front to back not sideways.
Things that are at rest, tend to stay at rest. Law of physics. when u take off in anything your ass gets plastered back against the seat, right? all the weight goes to the back when u take off. So it makes sense to have the rear wheels propelling.
5 stars for stating the unbelievable truth...front-wheel-drive sucks. Everybody thinks that fwd is the almighty savior. I used to push them bitches down my street the last two winters. i hate front-wheel-drive. you can't have fun or do doughnuts n them or nothin.
Correction.. jag does make a fwd car
