  • Fundamentalism is the literal interpretation of religion and a Fundamentalist (You) is someone who believes that the Bible is the actual word of God, to be taken literally word for word. As history has been blood stained in the name of God, fundamentalism in Greek is something achieved by force through having power over somebody and enforcing ones opinion.

One antidote to this spiritual immaturity is: my finger points towards the moon, but do not think my finger IS the moon.

  • Where some are confused here is she is speaking of this point in time and the Bible covers time before (though not very well) through the time after the resurrection (and then not in much detail either). Like LBG said the Bible is the finger pointing to God but it is not God. The Bible is only a small (though powerful) part of God's communications to mankind. If we get in tune with him by following His teachings we begin to receive that light for ourselves.

  • Thank you for this. PMH is wonderful. I had a hellish ND before I knew about NDE. At the time I was a fundamental Christian, yet *gifted* before. God is merciful. I would not wish anyone my ND. But it gave me strength. PMH helped, but I did the work.

  • @jesusgospeltrue Exactly. Jesus knew he was the way, the truth and life. By following his teaching, he is saying we are too. He was a great master and peacemaker. He came to teach Spiritual Laws. We are gods. Co- creators. Jesus taught this too. He prayed to God. He still lives. I thank God for Jesus. Blessings.

  • ALL OTHER BELIEF SYSTEM AND RELIGIONS AND WORLD DENIES JESUS CHRIST AS GODS SON, AND BIBLE, THE WORD OF GOD SAYS, THAT NO ONE THAT DENIES JESUS CHRIST AS GODS SON HAS THE FATHER GOD!:

"No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also." 1 John 2:2

"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."John 14:6

WE ARE NOT LITTLE GODS! ONLY ONE GOD YAHWEH OF BIBLE, GODS WORD, THE WAY IS GODS SON JESUS ONLY.

  • Always there is life.

    Yes.

  • @Duck4212 AMEN TO THAT.i dont want to be GOD.far to much responsibility for me lol.and GOD is doin an awesome job.he does not need any help from me lol FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING HE IS GOD.MAY GOD BLESS YOU

  • @Duck4212 Moses was given god-like powers over Pharaoh, not magistrate-like powers.

Anyway, why would Jesus be quoting a passage about "ye are magistrates" as part of his discussion about being the "Son of God". Was he saying he was the son of a magistrate?

You say you have explained, but it seems you have not explained very much.

  • @kumeravid

Where else is an official refered to as a god? Exo 7:1 "And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet." (meaning to have power over and in this case representing Jehovah God to Pharoah but not himself being the equivalent to Jehovah God)

  • @kumeravid I don't care what you believe. Believe what you want. I have explained and I am sure that no amount of further explanation on my part will convince you of anything.

  • @Duck4212 Where else is the word "gods" used to refer to magistrates or any kind of official?

When Jesus quoted the passage, the context shows that he was using it to back up his claim that he was the Son of God, and making it to be no big deal of a claim. Clearly, therefore, he did not have such a narrow understanding of the word "gods" as you are showing.

  • @kumeravid You mis-quoted the Psalm 82:6. The correct quote is: "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." Notice that it is not "Gods" but "gods". This term "god" was commonly used of magistrates on account of the dignity and honor of their office. These verses have nothing to do with the Mormon doctrine of men becoming gods. It's only a parallel use of the word god for the purpose of showing the power and thereby the responsibility of certain positions on earth.
