"Americas present need is not heroics, but healing; not nostrums, but normalcy; not revolution, but restoration; not agitation, but adjustment; not surgery, but serenity; not the dramatic, but the dispassionate; not experiment, but equipoise; not submergence in internationality, but sustainment in triumphant nationality."

  • Harding was a great man. Last of the great Republican Presidents.

And he actually kept his campaign promise of a return to normalcy. He shut down Wilson's police state aparatus and red scare labor politics and got the nations people back to work,

Granted, he didn't manage to undo all the damage that Wilson had caused but he had a rather short time in office due to an untimely death.

Too many of America's best Presidents have died in office.

  • Limited government and low taxes at home and noninterventionism abroad. God,what a great president. Why have we fallen away recently from leaders like Harding to the likes of Bush and Obama??

  • @CaptJJYossarian what are you saying he was in fact one of the worses president's in history.

  • @MrDanielking25 racist pig.

  • @gerjerry99 fuck off you you little slanty eyed twat go and eat a dog you yellow bastard

  • @Monarchos okay thanks, but i think he was lazy or something, that's why he's normally ranked as the worst president

  • @gallantman44 You disgrace a great racehorse by using his name as your ID.

  • @CaptJJYossarian You also have to remember that audio media was very primitive and television was non-existent. So at that time, many people didn't polish their oratorial skills because it wasn't as important to "look and sound presidential".

  • @CptFlakey Normalcy isn't a new word, and it wasn't a new word when he used it. I see your vocabulary is very limited.

  • @gallantman44 You were also not alive when he was president. So if he is not qualified on that basis to have a pro Harding viewpoint, then you are not qualified to have an anti-Harding viewpoint.

  • @gerjerry99 So let me get this right, Harding who gambled with his own money is worse than most other presidents who gamble with OUR money? Yeah, that makes sense. Harding didn't gamble what he couldn't afford to lose, he didn't break his own savings. Any corruption in his administration was small fry compared to most modern presidents.
