Q&A part VI of the Hitchens vs. Turek debate at VCU, VA. Full debate: http://www.vimeo.com/1904911
and (annotated)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-3fgjX2mU4

Turek continues his self-ridiculing (singularity=miracle wtf?), Hitchens argues that the argument from irreducible complexity (IC) -stating that because DNA is so complex or beautiful it must be created- is an "infinitely expanding tautology".

  • this asshole is so fucking loud... the creationist is a loud asshole and the atheist is a calm and reasonable debater. such is life...

  • Turek seems edgy. I guess that's what happens after you've been Hitchslapped for an hour straight.

  • Dammit Flanders! Just shut up!

  • can someone please explain to me this thing, I can't understand it. Does Hitchens talk about a logical, mathematical or rethorical Tautology?

  • If God was real and prayer really worked then what the fuck are we doing taking medicine? How can you be a theist and really be so ignorant to this. Medicine fixes people, not fucking prayer. But somehow theists ignorantly defend prayer when someone is healed from medicine and in fact suggest it was God work. So delusional.

  • You have been:

    HITCHSLAPPED !!!

  • @ClumsyRoot Sorry, but the human body is incapable of producing such a loud sound to make up for his stupidity.

  • @ToAcUt

What he lacks in intelligence or cogent arguments he makes up for in VOLUME.

  • Well without evidence that there was a "before" the big bang, and the FURTHER evidence that there was "nothing" there, then his misrepresentation of the beginning of the Universe is completely stupid and faith based, and not anything that science truly says.

  • What is more likely, that the laws of nature have been suspended in your favor and in a way you approve of, or that you've made a mistake - and not witnessed a Miracle?

  • This is comedy gold.
