Roma evictions in Votanikos Athens

Tavros Mayor proudly shows to the Skai News camera the eviction of Roma by him in another municipality (Athens) on 18 October 2008! See pictures a week later by Greek Helsinki Monitor at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=58618&id=772172967&l=e088eff125 . They show that the mayor did not clean the garbage but demolished shacks creating more garbage.

Also see three videos uploaded on 14 July 2007 on the work carried out in the very plot that what was their settlement immediately after their eviction: they show that on 2 June 2007 the Municipality along with the public contractor needed to evict Roma and not merely clean the settlement from the garbage as the work for the football stadium had to start.
