  • I think the problem with identifying it is that some one has cobbled the back end of the model.  It was probably gear driven before and some one wanted to add the hand pump and other items to it. The rear axle should be where the hand pump is.

    If you look up "3 inch Burrell traction engine", you will see the similarities. Alas the backend really has got to go.

  • could be an Aveling and Porter sort of.

  • Thats all very well but theres no makers badge you have to have something its designed on look at the wheels its a puffs meccano kit i appreciate that time and money went into it but still i hold on what i say in brackets on my previous comment. no proper wheels no makers badge from where the design came from so its a tin can meccano kit.
