An essay I wrote as a call to recognize the US war machine for what it is and the moral ramifications of service in the US military. For supporting evidence see links below. Written as a response to "Why I Don't Support the Troops" by LibertyChickLive. First ever Youtube video.
Hmm. Over 1,000 views between the 2 locations already. So tell you what everyone. I'm asking 999 people to commit with me to refuse to pay federal taxes, accept the consequences, AND march in DC publicizing that we're doing it in protest of these wars. I won't do it until we have the 1,000. If we're going to ask soldiers to do their part by resigning/refusing to enlist, I ask you to consider joining me in this so we can do our part. Message me if you're willing to sign up. Links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3ZjsC3BOBE&feature=related
@11B0304@11B0304: If you want proof, please see the description of my video. I cite 10 links, which together are only a sampling of the evidence.
Why not begin with video footage of American soldiers mowing down civilians with machine guns? Click on the fourth link down from the top for that one.
@holiness1031 meaning we cant neutralise the threat until we get fired on first. there have been some instances where an accident has occurred, one being the sniper shooting a civilian that had entered a military base without authorization. accidents commited by soldiers have been the cause of maybe a thousand civilian deaths, which isnt good, but its not as bad as what you and libertychicklive have been saying.
@11B0304: Like I point out in my video, other countries don't invade and occupy Arab nations, yet Al-Quada hasn't been attacking them. So you have it backwards. They wouldn't invade us if we stopped invading them. They attack us precisely because we invade them.
Notice how I prove that you don't have to invade other countries to prevent being invaded by naming other countries that have done so. Notice also that you cite no evidence for your assumption that we'd "inevitably" be invaded.
@holiness1031 ive watched your pathetic video seversl times and have shown it to many of my friends and family. theyve all said that youre full of shit and your facts arent justifiable. should we stop "participating" in wars, the invasion of our country would be inevitable. its because we are participating and have bases all over the world, that we havent been already and our retaliation for 9/11 has been so severe.
@Jazziefresh89: Actually, that's exactly what happened when the Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan. Al-quaida stopped its "terrorist" attacks.
But you seem to assume if we're not occupying other countries we'll be seen as so weak that we can't defend our own. It takes a lot fewer soldiers to defend our own borders. If enough refused to invade, our gov. would stop doing it. And there would still be plenty to defend our borders IF someone attacked us despite our no longer being in their country.
@Jazziefresh89: We are the aggressors because we invaded, occupied, and ruled under martial law. And we gave "them" (the American-installed puppet regime) weapons with which to help us fight those who resisted our conquest. It was to help fight OUR enemies, not the Arab people's.
Bush has already admitted there was no evidence linking Iraq with 9-11. So even were it true we had no bases in Iraq, that would be irrelevant.
@holiness1031 We are the most powerful nation on the planet, and once they see that I nation's defense is deteriorating they are going to view it as a golden oppurtunity to attack. Because we will not have a good defense strategy. Sweetie it is more to it then just having the soldier rebel. Do you really think that having our country appear weak, that other countries are going to be like "Aww Poor America, we should take pity on them and not attack" BS. Cause it wont happen
@mralanv Dude this conversation is dead -_-

@Jazziefresh89 That's paranoia. America has crashed itself because of the high expenditures on the war. I doubt any country would invade the USA.
