There are sodium based, Sulfur Based, and raydium based life forms beyond carbon based. Sadly, the different based life forms are often toxic to one another. Therefore cannot be together. Often, they can start wars with one another. Because they are so different. But most of the time they just avoid each other. Communicate but avoid actual contact, because they are toxic to one another. And most of their communication is about how to avoid each other, so not to kill each other.

We miss you Carl Sagan... were any man to be immortal, you deserved it most.

This only gets 4,043 views whereas Rebecca Black is at 136,069,489. Goddamn, our world is stupid. No wonder Sagan always talks about space; maybe that's the only frontier in which we can fully escape ignorance.

@MarvelsofaLifetime Mr. Sagan had much to do with enlightening my mind. I feel very lucky.

Great to find this three minute clip. We're holding regular "Sagan Nights" at the private membership meetings of a space-faring oriented non-profit, tax exempt organization named Terasem Movement, Inc. to attract new people to join with us in our quest to prepare for exactly what Carl Sagan forecast; that if we do not destroy ourselves, eventually we will go to the stars. This month's meeting on the fourth Friday we'll be sharing Episode 2 (this one). Great preview for our members!

Carl Sagan was the most important human being to have ever joined our species. This man has stirred and enlightened more minds in his upbringing, than any other human being who has ever lived. You can confront any person of our time, who has profoundly affected our species, and ask them what was their motivation – nearly every single one of them will reply, Carl Sagan.

Yeah. Carl was truely a man ahead of his time.
I love this intro.

Yeah, me too. "One lonely theme in the music of life. Is it the only voice for thousands of light years? Or, is there a cosmic fugue? A billion different voices playing the life music of the galaxy."
