singing a cover decently is what probably a million people in the world can do.... but developing good song writing chops is something that is not common at all.

I wouldn't spend my time trying to cover a song other people wrote.. but that's just my opinion.....I would rather spend time experimenting with chords and writing my own... clearly not everyone can write something this musical with the nice key changes and nice rnb feel... but we try nonetheless.. and in time we get better at it.... so yeah rather than covering a song why not go work on ur theory/jazz soloing/song writing skillz instead

lol as a cover it is quite decent. but musically I feel creating the song is everything... and cover is nothing... anyone can learn the chord changes and strum or play along and sing it. its the one creating it in the 1st place who is impressive...
