It is never too late to expand one's knowledge of the past. Embarrassing as it may be to the government that the Bisaya it has tirelessly repressed is indeed descended from the great Sri Vishaya, the pursuit of historical truth justifies itself. If not, then for the sake of our young who can only take so much of self-serving and subjective official Philippine history.

  • so much anger against Manila in this page :( i've lived my entire life in manila and know only filipino but i never had anything against other ethnic groups, considering that my grandpa and grandama are not manilenos themselves (their ilocano and visayan, repectively). all this "anti-Manila" sentiments don't make sense to me.

  • @LagiNaLangAko23 - that is something Filipino would not understand... you need to question, why do you think we bash on Manila?... this is not meant to hate but to send a message that we are not fools.. please do understand! this is not for selfish reason..

  • ato nalang e lahi ang luzon visayas ug mindanao..mas sayun e manage ang bansa

  • @VINTONGFX - Oo, pariha-on unta ang Pinas sa United-Kingdom na sub-state, sila naa silay Scotland, Wales, England ug N-Ireland,, atu Luzon Visayas ug Mindanao, .

  • As a Kapampangan, I am proud of Visayans ^_^ they know more about their heritage than Luzon...

Stupid Imperial Manila... Hope one day the Kapampangans, Tagalogs, Illokanos, etc. in Luzon will realize their already great heritage, as many Visayans already have for theirs.

  • Historical accounts also show that much of Visayas was an internationally-accepted independent federal state before the Malolos Republic of the Tagalogs, the TREATY OF PARIS, and the arrival of Americans.

Both my parents are Visayan (father - Akeanon, mother - Ilonggo), but I only speak Tagalog and English. I dream to be part of realizing the true history of the Visayans and the pursuit for an independent Visayan state.

The Manila government is currently a colonizer. Visayans need to be free.

  • Sentro Lang ng Phil. Government ang Manila pero di Colonizer.

Ang mga Bisaya ay namuno din sa sinasabi nyong (Imperial Manila = The Philippines) di naman ipinagbabawal like Sergio Osmeña, Manuel Roxas, at Carlos P. Garcia.

Katulad ngayon Highly Potential ulit si Miriam Defensor-Santiago...

  • @pansitkantonify make that Visayan STATES. I doubt that the politicians there would want to be in a single state. They'll probably turn variations in the Visayan dialects into major issues to thwart effort to unify the islands. (Just like some people here on YT.)

  • @pansitkantonify Exactly from which group are you from? If it happened that the gov't is centered in YOUR region and the language is based on YOUR language, I doubt that you'd even be ranting here. :D

  • @pansitkantonify And apparently, those sort of people still walk the Philippines, always waiting for any opportunity to fragment the land that our forefathers have cemented with their blood. No @pansitkantonify, the Hispanic period WAS the Philippine Dark Ages, and we don't want to see the country go back to that same appalling state.

  • @pansitkantonify go on, I don't want to be in the same country with you too. The Spanish calls the Philippine Revolution, "Tagalog Revolution". People from other regions saw it as a mainly "Tagalog" affair and only jumped the bandwagon when they found it advantageous for them. Hence, the struggle for Independence have been slow. Those people would rather stay under foreign domination and maintain their delusional sense of ethnic superiority than cooperate with other groups.

  • @pansitkantonify

Manila is filled with diverse people. People from all walks of life come here. Not just geographically but ethnically.

You obviously have alot of issues we don't know about.

And obviously, you're going into details to create strife. Whereas, we believe in unity.

You put great emphasis on the idea that Filipino (one nation, one language) as a failure.

I wonder what other differences would you care to point out? Gender? Religious Beliefs? Political Views?
