On October 28, 2010 historian of science Naomi Oreskes gave a presentation at Forum Lectures (US Embassy Brussels), based on her new book, Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues from Tobacco Smoke to Global Warming, about how right wing scientists founded the George Marshall Institute which has become a key hub for successfully spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt about climate change, along with other environmental issues, and how myths about science enable these political strategies to work.
@FrederickJZarguna Who is paying you? Or are you one of the dupes who buys into the shit this tiny little group of bought and paid for scientists spouts at the behest of big oil etc etc? mmm?

Oreskes is a merchant of disinformation, which is considerably more dangerous than doubt. Her claim that climatologists at East Anglia, Penn State and elsewhere were harassed because they refused to obey laws which grant transparency to a taxpayers funding scientific research is laughably false. Doubters: Read the e-mails, which are widely available. They show a clear pattern and practice of deception by leading climatologists, who did indeed seek--in their own words--to "Hide the Decline."

The beautiful comrade Dr Oreskes the historian says it right, the debate has long been over. Capitalist countries CO2 emissions, are 1000000 times more harmful than CO2 emissions from communist countries like China
