Guess what? It's not a gate, or an egg, or something left by Bungie to drive as mad as we contemplate the possible implications of its inclusion in the game. It's a freaking modeling error. The triangle has awful mapping coordinates and no smoothing groups. If anything, they left it in just to toy with us.

Yes but what if that bungie are keeping a deep secret? A secret that can unlock something massive to the game? If they wanted to put in a gate but ran out of room wouldent of they just took it out? But no they left it there...All of these weird secrets and questions must be found out by a true player?There are many secrets in teh game but if they agreed that the gates and odd shapes have no meaning why couldent they have taken it out, its not hard to.

it's not a gate and there are no gates it's just place holders for bungie they do nothing except for move the gondola so go get a life and stop trying to figure out the mystery of the gate cuz there isn't one I explored halo 2 for a year no joke and beta Halo there is no gate trust me

its just a black triangle set into the game. the creators fooled us it was just to get us searching for answers/find secrets/skulls in the game. some times the creators mess with us just to start rumors!!!
