Bret Hart is interviewed along with Dynamite Kid by Billy Red Lyons. From WWF Maple Leaf Wrestling - September 1984. Hart's first television interview with WWF. He would make his in-ring TV debut a week later, teaming up with Dynamite Kid.

Was he full of shit when he said they (the WWF) were the "largest governing body in the world today"?

And was Billy Red Lyons a pervert? Or was that just Terry Garvin, Pat Patterson and Mel Philips?

And why the hell was Bret doing an interview with Dynamite? Funny how they both mention Greg Valentine and just the guys they name in general...

"Watch me! I'll do my best!" Bret sounds like a first grader...glad he improved. As to whether Dynamite improved- debatable.

@shootbinary Probably not. I would suspect by that point the WWF had surpassed the NWA in terms of area covered.

I don't believe Billy Red Lyons was involved in anything sexual like that. He wasn't a road agent or anything, he just did TV out of southern Ontario.

Bret & Dynamite were a tag team when both first arrived in the WWF. They teamed together the following week on Maple Leaf Wrestling. Likely paired together to draw Western Canada viewers who knew them well.

I am reading Bret's autobiography, and according to him the first match he filmed for WWF was a squash tag match teaming with the Dynamite Kid (probably the same day this promo was shot). Bret was recuperating from a knee injury and didn't do well. Has anyone seen that match online? I would love to see the beginning of the Bret Hat era.

bret, a true legend!..and who knows how far dynamite could have went if he didnt injure his back...but its safe to say he woulda had to do it strictly on wrestling ability, cause he couldnt cut a promo to save his life!
