You know it's odd how medical device defects or prescription drug defects are discovered in our system. You would think and you would hope that there would be either FDA oversight or the manufacturer of the drug or the medical device vigilantly protecting the public by watching what comes out of their plan. Strict quality control. Too often though, instead what happens is, get the product out the door, get it to market, get it sold, get the money in the coffers corporation, is instead the primary motive. So how is it discovered? How are defective devices and defective drugs discovered? Reports from doctors, reports from patients, odd occurrences that are reported to the FDA, the mod system, the alert system, and some medical researcher working in some obscure lab in some obscure university hospital may discover a trend that he'll then report and he'll write a paper on or she'll write a paper on or give a lecture at a seminar and suddenly people become aware of the danger that has been lurking below the surface and exposing all of us to some incredible danger
