What the person who uploaded this movie doesn't want you to know is that the contrail you see started off as a straight line.

Crow instability is an 'inviscid line-vortex instability', named after its discoverer S. C. Crow. The Crow instability is most commonly observed in the skies behind large aircraft, when the wingtip vortices interact with contrails from the engines, producing visible distortions in the shape of the contrail.

I did not see the formation of this trail, I only noticed it when it was already deformed. But thanks for the psychic heads-up.

Seriously, though... snake trails like this start out as regular trails, and swirl into funny shapes. If contrails persist longer (due to climate change) we'll have more chances to see them writhe like this, before they disappear.

And I am... just an aerospace industry worker.

Well it's all quite simple: I saw the snake trails, grabbed my camera, uploaded the clip and started speculating just like the rest did. In this case I think the best guess of someone who has been intensively watching and filming the sky for a couple of years is as good as that of an aerospace industry worker. (aerospace has lots of workers, most of which just work on machine parts, indoors, no offense) But you could just as well be right. The best thing would be similar and complete footage.

I don't mind seeing 'weird' things. I'm delighted if there are unidentifiable lights or objects; I'm just getting really tired of the chemtrail conspiracy theorists' demonisation of civil air transport, puffing out water vapour.

That makes two of us. The problem with all genuine phenomenon (like ufo's, ct's, ghosts, nde, evp, obe and the rest) is that a couple of 'wannabes' jump in with far-fetched ideas that discredit the real thing. You've probably seen so many fake ufos that you're tired of the bs right before the real one shows up;-) Same with ct's. There is more than enough evidence to support the case, but even more bs to discredit it. And ain't that just the setup? Take something real and destroy it with bs.

I'm tired of the bs too. But even more of the ?? air traffic closing up the sky with non-dissolving thick layers of god knows what. It just does not make any sense. Not the snake trail per se, but view some of my other videos, you'll know what I mean.

as it fades the sharp nodes endure and the straighter segments fade out sooner. the only time i have seen anything like this is after a rocket launch and they dont like this. just slightly-somewhat-reminescent of this thing.

At least you think it's pesticides that are appearing in the sky immediately behind aircraft engines. The chem/con hippies seem to think it's for "mind control".

Quite why you'd spray expensive pesticides up in the jet stream, where two thirds of them will land in the ocean... that's another matter.

Water vapour is free.
