  • jus picks u[ n goes i wonder how maybe the turbo and a certain rpm kicks in and does it job wouldnt need that turbo if u had a v8 g/n aint nothin but a v6 wit a turbo i got a 87 hurst olds 442 same body style and everything similiar cars but mines has a v8 and shift kit from the facotory with a big block 442 motot on 22's and still will beat a stock g/n both r gm but i decided to go with the biggier boy stock for stock wise

  • The revised package lasted only three years, and the last 442 in 1987 came with the aforementioned 307 rated at either 170 hp or 180hp at 4,000 rpm, depending on the source. While this was a reliable engine, it was no drag strip terror, with quarter-mile times of 16.6 seconds at 83 mph; zero-to-60 mph times of 9.5 seconds were also reported, and weren't impressive figures then, either.

Straight for numerous sites.. Prove me wrong and send me some information I haven't found.

  • which dash kit did you use for your cd player?

  • It was too long ago I don't remember, sorry.

  • Great Rims ;D

  • Thanks, I liked them so much I put them on my Mustang too in Black and Chrome.

  • @gmoneydollaz954 Nice try. No 442 Hurst has even beaten a GN. I know, I owned a GN for a long time...ate them POS for breakfast!

  • i love it when people underestimate these cars... and theres a reason those cragar style rims are so popular.. its because the rims alone scream horsepower...which is only fitting of a GN

  • The 1987 442 is a cool car, but you are wrong. It has a 307 small block rated at 170 hp/250 ft·lb torque. The GN was rated at 245 hp/355 ft·lb torque. in 1987, 442 meant 4 speed, 4 bbl and dual (2) exhaust. If you wanted the baddest g-body stock for stock, the turbo 6 was the hands down winner. Still, the 442 is a cool ass car.

  • so loud. i want it
