La Filadora (The Spinner Woman) is a Catalan folksong, which was arranged for classical guitar by Miguel Llobet (1878-1938).

This version for mandolin was arranged by John Hayes in 2008.

I have just reloaded this video in order to get the "watch in high quality" link. Apologies to anyone who commented on the previous version.

I created the movie using my Canon S5 IS digital camera and used Serif MoviePlus X3 to process it.

  • Well I didn't view it before and I'm glad you did repost. Some very interesting chords in that song. Excellent performance.

    The sound of that mandolin comes over very well. It has so much sustain it is able to carry off those guitar melodies with ease!
