This video made me cry.
It sums up everything I'm trying to do with my work ... solve problems ourselves, bit by bit, rather than rely on governments and corporations.

I found this through Brad Lancaster's site. Before I heard him speak I never thought that rainwater harvesting was something that applied to the urban USA too. The idea that though we long for water, we treat it as a dangerous product to be removed quickly when it falls from the sky is transforming. Anyone with a plot of land can harvest and use water. It isn't just for people who are off the grid. This is a beautiful empowering video.

truly in the spirit of sharing and sharing is the key to divinity.
All natural resources on earth belongs unconditionally to us all and NOONE should be permitted to profit from it. This ought to be a international global law.

tears came to my eyes... and with fracking.. we had better begin to do this. as a communite

the whole world has to go this route, because the corporations of the world are destroying our ground water, doing this will allow us to decentralize our water and cut cost for all the people of the world, then we can get rid of the water company who are raising prices every year even as they do less to keep our water safe

I love this video. We are on 100% rainwater at our home. We're having a Rainwater Revival festival in Dripping Springs TX Oct. 9, to promote rainwater harvesting. Our groundwater is being depleted, and besides tasting a lot better and not ruining your pipes, rainwater tends to make people much better on conservation.

In Ireland there are many houses that have rainwater as their only water supply.
I have friends in Co. Galway who have been drinking their rainwater for 14 years, using only a water filter jug, with no ill effects at all. Meanwhile, for 4 years, the whole of the county was unable to drink the mains water due to septic tank and other groundwater contamination!
@proverb...i totally agree with u ..last century we fought for oil..this time we will hv to fight for water...its high time

@WTELtd I guess portable drinking water is a global problem. I think we can solve it if we all will. I am sure it is fine now in ireland.
Well safe drinking water is a problem here in india too hence we are opting for harvesting.

@jp10042612 Awesome to hear that you're harvesting rainwater in India!!
I Live in Australia, so I've grown up knowing that clean water is a scarce resource.
One of my best mates is Indian, and I was chatting with him about a video of Ganga I watched, made at Varinasi. I was SHOCKED!!!
India has so many people, yet so little care for water. So little care for their most important (religious) river.
So much more has to be done to protect our water sources. We've not yet begun!

@arachn1dinshoe...i totally agree with you on this. World is slowly moving catching its own growing tail and soon we may end up biting it too. It is really painful to see such abuse of water here. Especially here in india due to politicians and policy makers, you can get away with everything u do....but things r changing and soon i think we will work towards that
but its still a long way to go....and i think saving natural resources should be be universal quest....
