This is basically a neck pickup test with my Fender Strat 54 Reissue with Original Vintage Style Pickups.

It´s plugged onto a Peavey Audition "20 with BOSS Digital Reverb and BOSS DS-1. It´s just a pickup test.

Recorded on a Sony Ericsson K850i celphone.

  • Is that a MIJ '54 reissue Strat?

  • Yeah! Actually it´s a CIJ '54 Fender Stratocaster. There are a few diferences between Made In Japan and Crafted In Japan guitars. Check Google for a better explanation ;)

    Anyway... it´s an amazing axe!

    Happy new year

  • you truly sound just like clapton. never heard anyone so exact

  • So how does the 54's sound compared to the fat 50's? I really want a fat 50's neck pickup but theyre hard to find alone. If u have any advice about the 54's neck, please!!! let me know.. I need help...Oh, great playing man!

  • I just got a '90 MIJ Strat, black with maple fretboard. It's in great condition, seems really solidly built and sings like a classic Strat. I was going to get a good deal on a 5 month old 2008 American Standard, but I went for the '54 reissue. It just suits me better, since I'm into SRV/Clapton/Hendrix type of rock/blues.

I'm pretty impressed with these Japanese reissues. :D
