"engine is hand built"... What a marketing crap... Guess what: at Audi Hungaria ,where I work, every engine from 1,6 R4 to 6,0 V12 TDI are handbuilt ... Every single type, 2 million / year... Nissan made a fool of many people with that "hand built" bullshit (clever marketing btw) :)

lol .. i'm so sure that this GT-R has some mods in it, a stock 997 turbo should pull a bit away from it and this modded one should leave it in the dust.. not only that, this GT-R vs the 458 italia LOLL, the italia only gets away at higher speed, i'm pretty sure this GT-R has atleast an ECU.

Maybe. Even if they did. Why does it matter? The whole GTR comes as a package gearbox included. It is the way it is built. So saying that the GTR won just because of the gearbox is failing the whole idea. The GTR won because of the GTR.

Porsche were the first to use this type of gearbox back in their race cars way back in the 80's i think.... Go look it up.

Just a thought. It may be the gearbox. Why did other cars not come up with the same thing then at this moment? I mean a V12 Lambo with twin turbo and that gearbox would fly. Guess what? They did not built it that way. Nissan did. It comes as part of the Nissan GTR. Thing is. Nissan GTR with the same hp than other cars which weigh less than the GTR, ends up with the GTR winning. All part of the package.
