Every time I see videos like this, I wonder what video game companies have in mind when they design crappy stuff after 3 or 4 years from scratch, then release it on the market and make us swallow that big ball of capitalistic bugball. Please nVidia, teach them!

@spinvudu: I think the major problem is that the water tension was never broken. As we all know, when water if moved violently, water tension is broken, creating splashes with water droplets, and harsher shapes. Since tension was never broken, it made it look like a soft, fluid gel. I can imagine making hundreds of little water droplets with every splash could be a pain in the ass though.

This looks like gel, not water. Needs more flowability.

@harper16 always kills me a little inside when a friend says they're pc lags when its just the framerate and the latency is literally 15ms
-
He's clearly a cursor water bender.

@RalphCQ i think some of the developers like bethesda will continue to make games that are cutting edge in physics and graphics. it is what they have done in all their games til now, so i think they will continue.
all tho it is true what you are saying, but i think it will either get like it was before, or better. in ten years, there will be virtual reality, and that will take gaming and games to a new level.

@pinnegubbe Unfortunately, consoles seem to be taking over the entire gaming scene. :( Developers don't care so much about advanced graphics/physics and gameplay, they just want a cheap game that they can sell for $60.
I am hoping it's only because of the economy, and that gaming will get back on track, like it was for a while.
Consoles have vastly outdated vram now, and the cheap stupid assholes who designed them didn't even make the vram upgradeable.

they use supercomputers for fluid dynamics. this isnt half bad for just a graphics card, infact its quite amazing

in ten years, there will be that realistic water in games. probably even more realistic even. I CANT WAIT to play the elder scrolls 7 or 8. wooooow. makes me horny just to think about it

how can i do this water thing on my card?
Lag/Latency/Whatever you want to call it. You can still have "lag" even if you have all the RAM in the world. Many people use lag to mean high latency of your internet connection, when in fact it's use is more of a general term for almost anything becoming unresponsive whilst using the computer (that most people don't understand why it has happened). So please in future be more specific with your terms if you want to talk technical.
