This guy is a piece of shit. This is a country that has a huge amount of resources they need to defend, yet they don't fund their military -- they rely on the American taxpayers and the US military we fund. Fuck you, Pierre and Canadians in general.

American hasn't had capitalism for over 100 years. What we HAVE had is increasing amounts of Fascism (ie, crony capitalism, corporatism). The Left loves to point the finger at Capitalism but the problem is, what they are pointing to is in actually Fascism: government and corporations and central banks in bed together.

I don't agree with his politics, but this presentation isn't half bad. My only complaint is that Poilievre misuses the term socialism to describe the welfare state. The welfare state taxes the existing capitalist system to support it; whereas socialism involves the elimination of the capitalist system, and supports the social ownership of industry by those who work in it.

Agreed. The modus operandi of capitalism today is: makes money = good, gets in the way of making money (even if for a good reason, like impeding fraud) = bad.

yeah, I drove my wife crazy with it. For Christmas a few years ago, she bought me the whole series (all but the last 2 seasons). I was on extended sick leave from work after knee surgery. I bought 4 cases of Moosehead and had a RedGreen marathon the whole time. Besides Red & Harold, my favorite character was Hap Shaughnessy and his bullshit stories. Dalton is hilarious too. There's a hilarious segment of him and Red talking about eating roadkill.

The show is a classic, and the comedy is as fresh today as it was when it first came out. Red would come up with a way to solve all economic problems with duck tape!
