I would eat cat, just not my cat. Funny video. When I get to go to Thailand to see Suporn, I plan on eating whatever my other Trans friends family serves as I will be a guest in another ones house for a while after the Hotel stay. I always wanted to try BBQ dog but its not Popular in the US. I could make a joke about eating "Cat" but I better not. She might see this post and take me up on the offer. LOL Transgender people represent the entire spectrum of humanity & often learn more than most.
love to hear from you, Airie! Where have you been? Hope everything is wonderful. I credit you as much as anyone for my transition! Is that strange, since we've never met....
Rabbit is a common meat and is sold in most countries, they are farmed in the UK and are available in specialty butchers in the USA, Aust, Canada, .etc.
You could always just start eating more of those. Rats are also commonly eaten in many parts of the world, and are quite delicious. If they are caught wild as long as they are handled with gloves cooked properly the risk of disease transmission is low. They don't carry many diseases, they are just similar enough to us to pass on a lot of them.
Cat isn't white meat, it's a fairly dark meat. I'm sure it tastes nothing like chicken. Carnivorous animals generally aren't eaten since they taste "bad", although I'm sure some people would enjoy the flavour. Thais don't eat dog generally speaking, some people in Korea and China do, but most people there aren't interested. You'd probably notice if you ate dog, since the meat has a slight green tinge to it and a quite distinctive flavour. Dogs are omnivorous like pigs, so taste better than cats
Ok I hoped I didn't scare you away but your life helped more so as i am happy it is your time. Your fans or heaters (lol) would love to hear from you again\
It should noted on how feral cats act in comparison to say Cows or Chickens, there certainly would be a difficulty in mass produceing cats to be used as a meal.
After years of selective breeding, cows and other livestock animals have been raised to have a rather passive temporement.
Common cats can be aggressive animals, and certainly would be difficult to raise in mass as a means of food.
Feeling that "you are right" is not unique to the United States, mind you.
