I love watching Tami's videos. I am beginning to educate myself on BPD because I need to understand my daughter better. Tami's explanations are short and to the point plus her descriptions of what is going on inside the mind of a BP is right on target. THANK YOU!!
WitchesHallow, I don't know if this will work for you, but one way I think I might have changed mine is when I get a scary thought, or some feelings of despair, I welcome them into my life, and I say "I see you are there, but I am still moving on with my life." In this way, the thoughts don't seem as big and frightening as they have before.
Tami, you are such a beautiful lady and I really admire your courage in talking about this. You are helping many many people by doing these videos. Thank you for all of the work that you do.
may i suggest you watch a series of conversations you can find on youtube between jiddu krishnamurti and dr. Allen anderson? there are 18 one hour talks. it basically explains the human crisis of consciousness and the transformation of the mind. it is absolutely essential viewing for anyone who suffers deeply from mental disorder. no money is involved. not only do you learn about your own mind, you learn about every human problem that exists in our world today. war, religion, love, death. watch!
there is so much to learn from the mind. we look for answers on the outside and on the outside there is only more confusion. there are theories and concepts. the answer we are all looking for is deep inside us. beyond conditioning, thought and neurotic action. i look at my problem for myself and i do not try to escape from it. i want to understand it. life has taken a dramatic turn since i learned how to study myself deeply. i have no diplomas nor have i graduated after years of studying books.
i suffered bpd for over ten years. psychiatry doesn't work, period. neither to prescribed drugs. what we have to begin to understand is the nature of the mind itself. it's easier than you think. i have cured myself by studying my own thoughts and the emotions related to thoughts. i have spent no money nor have i had to return to any psychiatrist. to be free of mental torture one must realize that thought is merely the reaction to a memory that came out of an experience. it is dead information.
