@MrDavidvsGoliath Well I don't own a Honda but i drove a friends 2009 Honda Accord that I didn't like but my advise to you is that get rid of your Honda and buy a Toyota. My 1994 Toyota Camry has 305K miles with no major issues at all; this Camry is still my primary driving car.
@PeterGriffin4200 You arte absolutely correct. Honda quality and engineering of their cars has sunk lower and lower. The best car I ever had from them was a 99 accord ex. The new ones are not up to honda quality standards. I forsee Kia and Hyindai overtaking them in sales in about 5 years.
@honeygge2 I drove a friend's 2009 Honda Accord LX-P with 48K miles and to be honest with you my 1994 Toyota Camry V6 with over 300K miles(all original no major issues) is a whole lot quieter and smoother to drive then that new Accord and on top of that the 2009 Accord had no automatic on/off lights and my 17 year old Camry has it. Toyota is light years ahead of Honda in terms of quality and comfort.
@PeterGriffin4200 the car is long gone....honda bought it back for 25750...bought a 2006 lexus pre certified es 330...fantastic car compared to the EXL honda with a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty up to 100000 miles. Honda motor company is not your friend. I had the car and fought honda for 17 months and 15000 miles. Oh by the way that was my fifth honda car and I have had three honda motorcycles.
well lilrennagade..you have no idea what you are talking about. As mentioned in the other posts the car did this at all speeds. After owning 31 cars so far I think I know what I am talking about as did the arbitration board consisting of one judge, two lawyers, and an aeronautical electrical engineer. Honda lost their case on at least three occasions that I personally know of based on headlights and headlights only. Honda was also lost the class action suit on these vehicles about thebrakes
Thats definitely normal. Almost every car does that when the a/c compressor engages. My Chevy truck and Acura TL both do it. My neighbors 2000 Accord and 2010 Accord both do it. When the compressor clutch engages it takes a lot of power from the engine suddenly and that's why the lights dim slightly but the car senses the drop in power and adjusts its engine speed. You didn't have a lemon but high five for wasting time seeing as how almost every car does it whether its noticeable or not.
The car was bought back by honda under the lemon law rules based solely on the headlight flickering problem. It took me 17 months of fighting with them but in the end I prevailed. They wrote me a check for 25750 back in february of 2009. They refused to work with me in a fair settlement so I took them to arbitration and won. Honda should be ashamed of the way they treated a 28 year customer.
