Okay,if that method is for personal cartridge then there is no problem. I thought it was for custmer. Otherwise,i was only concerned because am also a cartridge remanufacturer working with CARTRIDGE WORLD ,Kenya.

i have a q5949x and have no idea on where to make holes. is there an excess toner bay? where is the spot to add new toner? any help will be greatly appreciated and do you sell on ebay?

@nerdlinger2 The 49X is very similar to the 53A cartridge shown in the video. The excess toner holes are made at the same place (near the chip). The fill hole will be made at a similar place on the drum side, just that your toner compartment will be bigger, but you should not experience any trouble. We do sell on eBay. Our id is dol-auctions and our store is called Distribution-Online.

I congradulate you on coming up with such a simple way of remanufacturing 53A but i would like to tell you, that method might not be the MOST appropriate one. Just to ask you;- how would you rectify a cartridge if it has a poor print on testing after refilling?! Remember you have to give the customer back his/her cartridge with a quality print so that they visit again once their cartridges run out of toner?!!!!

@bukachime You should definitely not try selling a cartridge with holes in it as "remanufactured". As "refilled", absolutely, with the cartridge given back to the customer that brought it in. This procedure is intended primarily for personal use. To answer your question, print quality depends mainly on the condition of the drum. After refilling, the cartridge should continue printing well if it printed well before. Generally, HP cartridges will last through 2-3 refills before quality degrades.
