Just like Tony the Tiger talks about those Frosted Flakes, these potatoes are GGGGRRRRReat!

Use baking potatoes, peel them, slice about a quarter inch but do NOT slice all the way through. Put potato on a piece of foil, put a pat of margerine underneath it, smear some margerine on the top (sliced side), sprinkle with either finely diced or minced union or onion powder, wrap in foil and cook on the coals. They take about an hour, so be sure to turn them often. You need not keep them directly on the coals the whole time if your grill has a cover and coals are good enough brand to last. Alternatively, you can peel them, partially slice, and then bake them for about 45 min at about 450, then test for "almost doneness" and then take them out of the oven, open up foil and put in the margerine and onion then wrap it back up and put on coals for about 15 minutes.
