Kyung Sun Lee performs Saint-Saens' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso accompanied by her gifted husband Brian Suits. This was recorded in Seoul, Korea this summer. She is playing a Joseph Guarnerius violin made in 1723. Boy, do I want her violin!!

  • I am almost quoting her directly about her violin..."it is the father of del gesu, same first name and i own it. it is much cheaper than his son's of course.".....still a very lucky lady and of course, with amazing talent and hard work.

  • I really love this interpretation. Who is this violinist? She is amazing!

  • Thank you. Her name is Kyung Sun Lee, a Korean native violinist, currently residing in Houston, Texas. Please check out her brief bio in my channel.

  • i got to have a masterclass with her and got her tele# she is one of the best violinist out there

  • That's great. What did you play for her?

  • Hi Violinfanatic:), thanks for the comment.

Ummmm...about me wanting her violin, it is just a friend teasing and complementing her good friend. Check out my most recent video of hers. I said the same thing about her husband's camera XD. Please come back in late January and check out KS' Sibelius Concerto performance. Happy New Year!!!

  • That's not fair! She stole some of my ideas which i had in mind how to play it, and no one else did. She got in first!

I still hope when/if i get around to it, it will be something special left.

  • Bravo ! Great bowing technique, especially the flying staccato, and the one-bow staccato, which always pose great challenges to the top violinists. Furthermore, seemingly you have combined the best from the French School and the Russian School as far as technique is concerned, which is just wonderful. Congratulations !

  • i was so close to being able to study with her at GMCMF :(

    amazing!

  • It's almost hard to believe, watching their fingers. I bow low to such musicianship. Mastery, indeed.

  • Grandioso!!!!!!!!!!!

  • VERY NICE 5 STARS ☆☆☆☆☆

  • god damn! amazing!

  • really good

  • how old is she?

  • Guarnerius violins are in line with the best of violins because the timbre is much richer than compared to violins of today. So a virtuosic player will sound only good with a subpar violin.
