  • Grocery stores do the same thing...it's called good marketing since I do end up buying other things once I get in there.

I do know that some abuse the system and in no way shape or form do I advocate that. I have one card for my family and there for get the few things they offer. The do not offer as many free items now as they did last year.

  • Thanks - you explain this very thoroughly and clearly!

  • I had not watched this video in well over a year. I misspoke once about the deodorant where I state the limit was one and I went back and got another one. Your CVS card will not let you get another one with bucks, so know that I meant limit of two. You can buy both at one time or buy one and use your bucks another visit. Also, please know your store policies about coupons. Some will take internet coupons, others will not. Some BOGO will ring up 1/2 price, others will not. Just ask them w/your ??

  • If you shop at a CVS where the cashiers are somewhat intelligent, you will not get coupons on all of your Buy One Get One Free products. You will only get coupons off the products you are really paying for.

  • yes, you are right...i do not even think they really offer that any more. Often things ring up at half off and then you can just use one coupon. I should have referenced that.

  • I work for CVS, just to throw a couple tips out there to the people who don't try to abuse our system(Thank you.)

Buy a green bag tag and a reusable bag. They cost a buck at first purchase and every time you don't use a plastic bag we scan it. Every 4 scans you get a free extra buck for your next purchase. They pay for themselves and add a little to your over all savings.

Plus it's good for the environment.

  • this woman in the video seems genuinly amped. that's cool. happy ppl are cool.

  • Our registers will only accept a certain amount of coupons, sometimes it will say we didn't sell that item even if we did, so we have to enter it manually. I love CVS and so happy to get a job working there

  • Based on how I said that...it does seem like it. I assume you were talking about the deodorant and I must have meant that the limit was two and I was going to buy one and then use those extra care bucks then next time. My apologies....I will again reiterate the importance of following their store policy since I do completely adhere to it. Never even realized that was in the video since it was so long ago and I did this before I even knew how to edit a video.

  • I want to assure you that I do not take advantage of the program. I only have one card, am a loyal CVS customer. Yes, we pay for the products first our of pocket, but if I shop their again, then it ends up being free with my CVS card. Using the phrase "paid to shop their store" was tongue and cheek at the amazing deals they offer every once in awhile. Partnering coupons and their CVS bucks is exactly what they advertise.

  • Getting to know the manager will not help. If you are taking advantage of the program they can and will cut you off! How many cards do you have? You are not "paid to shop there stores. Lady you are taking advantage of the program..
