This is a miraculous story in a naval battle happened in Surabaya, the Northeast of Java Sea in 1942, was summarized in a book by a Japanese Self-Defense Force official who had been impressed the story talked by Sir Samuel Falle. This story wasn't known by anyone unless Sir Falle visited Japan. "I visited Japan to say thanks to Japanese Captain Kudo face to face by all means before I die. I have never forgotten him even at my age now 87."

Lieutenant Samuel Falle was one of the 442 crew of the British Royal Navy Destroyer "ENCOUNTER" saved by Imperial Japanese Navy Destroyer "IKAZUCHI" commanded by Captain Shunsako Kudo, who never told anyone of his accomplishments.

Ikazuchi (meaning "thunder") was a destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. During the first months of 1942, Ikazuchi participated in the East Indies campaign, including the invasion of Java and the battle of the Java Sea on March 1 in which the British cruiser EXETER, destroyer ENCOUNTER and U.S. destroyer POPE were sunk.

  • Unfortunately, most of the survivors of HMS encounter who were rescued by Captain Kudo died in captivity. Allied POW's were four times more likely to survive Nazi captivity than Japanese captivity.

  • あれ?これってジパング?

    護衛艦がいるよ!

  • @SuperYT4Ever Also, I think you need to watch following youtube video.

    Title: "An alternate look at WW1 & WW2 (P-1 of 4)"

    Good luck!

  • @SuperYT4Ever Take time to find and read following 2 books. One of them is "The Wartime Journals of Charles A. Lindbergh". Second one is "Behind the news in China by Frederick Vincent Williams, 1938". First one describes how British and American behaved in the Pacific. Second one shows you what happened in China against Japanese. These two books may open your eyes, truth is pretty contrary to the wide spread propaganda. I think it would be fair to suggest books which were written by whites.

  • @victorwinbillion There are a lot of researchers who devote to research true history. You need to know that China and Korea are notorious among them because these countries are the worst for not caring the truth, rather obsessed with fantasy. For example, Chinese advocate several thousand years of its history, but what excavated from ruins of 2500 years ago is Caucasian bones and these are assumed Uighur's. Needless to say that Tibet and Uighur matters are also tainting Chinese credibility too.

  • @victorwinbillion I forgot to mention how to access NARA.

Google ”National Archives and Records Administration”

  • @victorwinbillion If you are not a propagandist, I think you need to check NARA first in order to prove your belief because It is awful thing to be being deceived by propaganda and accusing other nationality of false charge, be a descent Chinese. I've spent around 6 hours everyday in average last 2 years researching Japanese military activities during the WW2. I'm still not an expert but I've found out they were scrupulously clean. It was exact opposite of what I've learned in school.

  • Moontokyo san ... I am a little bit mad tonight because of you. You said you had the "NARA" research (I doubt that, show us the link or what you found) that Japan was 'clean' (when someone invade your country take your place will you describe him 'clean' ? How clean ?). Before you can show us anything let me show you one of the 'reseaches' (you like to see research) I found. Go and search this on youtube ...
