  • Great video. My then 12 year old daughter rode from Woods Hole to the tip of Cape Cod and back on our Tandem.

We did the CCRT both ways. It was a blast.

  • Did you take route 28 lol. Years ago I rode a loop of the Cape via 28, 6A, and 6. Traffic has not gotten any less since.

  • It's a great bike path. I really love that rotary.

  • It is a true gem. The thing with the rotary is as with traffic ones, many people are clueless and do things like ride the wrong direction (despite all the signs). The other issue is that I notice that the section redone last year is already starting to break up. All that money to redo the entire path and they still skipped using road quality material and work.

  • @kippling1000 i screamed at a 13 year old for rideing along side his mom, im only 15 and cant stand when people do that

  • CCRT is great. In the summer when I visit, I skate the trail and its much better with the new pavement.

However, people who ride side by side and park their bikes in the middle of the path while they sort their stuff out are still out there causing possible accidents. Cars that don't stop when you are in the crosswalk (its illegal car drivers) and they swirve to avoid you are still out there. I have to say that those are my pet peeves but what can you do with stupidity???

  • great videos! you should consider adding music to it, it would be even better

  • We just crossed Rt 28 back and forth in places. One time we were heading north on Great Neck Rd and went through the Mashpee Rotary, east on Rt 28 to Quinaqisset Ave. We hit 45 mph with a loaded tandem.

Other times, other trips we have stayed north of 28 and even crossed the West Barnstable Conservation Area, home of the mountain bikers "Trail of Tears"

The trip I was talking about where we rode the CCRT was Aug of 05.

What was most striking was how courteous the motorists were.
