maybe you should try putting a resonant head on your tom -.- and moon jelll is SOOO much better then rings.
-
Just because people in the 80s did it doesn't mean you should. Normally you only don't use resonant heads when your on stage and even then it's not necessary because it doesn't carry the tone as well as it should because it's got nothing to resonate against so its insanely rapid decay

You know you're an awesome drummer when you talk to your cats like they're people.
Chris Adler does it.
-
get resonant heads for your toms

Should I get Evans Onyx or Remo Ebony Pinstripe?
-
What paint did you use to paint your rims/hoops?
-
thee buzz is the same with my set
-
get a moongel and put it under the first 3 wires of the snare(either side will do) and that should reduce the buzzing
-

i have the remO's tone control rings and i love them. i have also playedwith the moon gels and i think those work great too! so thats all your choice. either way, itll sound good. now, resonate heads will really help out with the extra ring. they will quiet it down. u could stop the snare buzz by tightening the snare wire but i also recommend a new snare. ddrums make awesome snares btw! so thats my recommendation on how to make the set sound better! i know what im sayin so just try it!
