This is a variation on the standard chinup / pullup. Deemed by many to be 'cheating' this variation actually produces a significantly higher power output (work / time) than most other variants. Instead of being viewed as a form of cheating it should be viewed as a variation, much in the same way that a jump squat is a variation of the standard squat.

  • @daley1234 Add to this that in many activities like swimming, gymnastics, and pole vaulting, an athlete must be able to pull while using the core for assistance it makes it a perfectly valid exercise.

  • @daley1234 Momentum does not equal cheating. It's a totally different exercise than strict pullups or chinups. Power cleans are not a cheated version of a reverse curl. 1/4 jump squats are not a cheated version of deep squats. They are just different exercises altogether.

Even if one could pull very fast with just the arms / lats it would still be faster (and more work would be done in less time -->greater power output) if leg movement was involved.

  • the reason its seen as cheating is due to the swinging of the legs causing momentum? is it possible to create a power movement without the additional use of legs just by pulling more powerfully/faster? this would be a more valid variation

  • I'm curious to know why it's funny?

  • this makes me laugh so hard rofl

    but she can do it
