I went to the ringling circus once and I loved it because when the cats came out they jumped and growled at the trainer and he even fell I was laughing

Love and respect are much better trainers than bullwhips and yelling... What is wrong with the people in this world? And they wonder why animals stop eating so they can kill themselves... And bash their heads against the cage in an attempt to feel nothing, even if it's just for a second... I'd go insane inside a cage! I know the rest of the people in this world would, too... It absolutely tears me apart... Who do they think they are? And yes. I'm crying. Because this is absolutely despicable.

It is so sad that people like emmybear are so ignorant to think that these intelligent creatures enjoy this. Being beat with a hook and performing day after day is NOT an enjoyable life for these elephants. To be hauled around the country in small carts not even getting to be out in the sun light or develop any social bonds with one another is just sad and people need to realize what is really going on and what they are supporting when they go to a circus.
