From a dusty corner in the archives... GBV during their soundcheck at Canal Street Tavern in Dayton OHhoho, 6-Apr-96. At this point the band members are Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, Greg Demos, & Kevin Fennell.

I saw this show. Kevin wasn't doing so hot by showtime as I recall. it was frozen nut sack cold outside. While waiting to get in Bob pulled up in the infamous white van and said something nice to everyone standing in line in an april blizzard to see the best band of the last twenty years. I bought
'benefit for the wino's" and got it signed by everyone but Bob, bummer. Fantastic show in a great club for live music.
