  • It should be obvious to most that his is seminar footage of me explaining an idea and concept. People that attended want to 'learn' something. The 6:21 minute clip therefore is a 'teacher' explaining something not proving something. I've already done that in my life. To all that equate speed with proficiency, I urge you to talk to professionals in the fields biomechanics and human movement. Its wrong to assume this is true.

The complete footage will be made available soon.

  • nice for slow motion attackers throwing thrust kicks. lets see if can do it against professional thai kickboxers in the ring cutting across with low fast kicks and supported with punches and elbows up top.

  • @zoega5 You have to always do both. But when demonstrating, it needs to be slow so it can be seen. Also some of his subtle attacks would be rough on the attacker if they went full speed. But when it comes down to it, when learning something new, it shouldn't be done at full speed, or you wont learn anything new.

  • sigh...im sceptic if it works in real life...too only show it slowly wont lead to anything....on practice u gotta do it fast and hard just like in real life.

  • Great video! Makes me want to do more leg work.

One thing I'm unsure about with Systema leg work is some of the more rotational kicks. I've seen Vlad working against big roundhouses to the upper body. But I've never seen a top instructor show work against the lower, Muay Thai-type rotational kicks to the knees, thighs and up into the lower torso. They can be really snappy and hard to react in time to. I'm sure there's a way. Wd love to see a teacher of Manny's stature show how.

  • Thanks for providing so many examples on leg work... very refreshing to see this much effective variety.

  • Great Video!! Love the slow motion part, allows me to see your skills in slow motion!! Amazing instructor!! PUNISH THEM WITH WHAT THEY ATTACK YOU WITH!

  • wow...excelent work, this is so good I am motivated now to work a lot on my legs I wanna do that too but I feel them kinda stiff still. Great video

I have only one big complain, Manny you are one of the best systema instructors in the world you should post more videos!!!
