A look back at Thalia Assuras's tenure on ABC's overnight newscast, World News Now, on her last broadcast with the show on January, 17, 1997. Includes a brief clip of pre-WNN at CTV. Though it is kinda strange that Barbra's Streisand's "The Way We Were" plays during the montage of Assuras reading "death and destruction" stories.

I remember her and ABC news during the 90's at night. They'd sometimes break down laughing and act all goofy. This was when ABC was a good network.

i had the biggest crush on Thalia when i was 14 back in 1992-93. me and brother use to watch WNN almost every night and laugh at some of the stories, and the host acting goofy. the cardboard cut outs were the best.

The majority of the time we watched Thalia and Aaron Brown. Those two were hilarious together. But yeah Thalia is so beautiful and sexy. she was amazing. I loved her, and still do.

I remember seeing Thalia as news anchor with Mike Anscombe at Global News before she moved to CTV's Canada AM. A few years ago I learned she moved to the US. Since then, I have seen a few of her reports on CBS. She puts together excellent news stories! Keep it up Thalia! It's great to see you again on TV after so many years!
