@yodheytheway I do not use oxygen absorbers all the time either. Beans and grains should last for several years like this as long as they are stored at room temp.

Ive vacuum sealed my beans and grains without the moisture absorber packets, how long are they good for?

Hey Anthony, Jonathan here.
Are the 500cc oxy-abs. for every 1-gal bag of dried food? And could smaller mylar bags be sealed well-enough in the vacuum sealer?
Hope all is well with you on your current get-away. See you soon.

On Amazon or Emergency Essentials.

just a recommendation, I saw a lot of wasted space at the top of the demo bucket and thought you could probably add water.

@TopGearD4D Great observation. Yes I could add water or other storage items. Thanks for watching.

I've started adding a few packets of appropriate spices (vac sealed as well) to the mixed buckets. For macaroni and spaghetti I add some garlic flakes, salt and pepper packets I get from Costco or Sam's, some Spicy Spaghetti Spice, some Thyme with the beans etc.. you wouldn't want to be without the spices to make a meal a bit tastier if you had to just grab a bucket for an emergency get away or if you gave to some friends or neighbors in need.

@Babeebloos That is an excellent idea. That way all your spices are packed along with your food storage. Thanks for watching and Stay Ready! Anthony.

If you already have product put up in small mylar bags, can't you just put it in the bucket WITHOUT the large mylar bag? (Just want to make sure I've been doing this right..)

@MikeD49509 Yes. If it is already in a mylar bag you are fine. Thanks for watching.
