  • hi caroline I just wanna ask if that tool can cut fun foam? Because I cant find tool that can cut fun foam easily. So that I always use scissor to cut fun foam one by one.I just wanna know if theres a cutter for fun foam to make a different sizes besides to scissor.

  • @jergensish

Sorry for the delay in replying!

It will score fun foam but not cut all the way through as the foam is thicker than the depth of the cutting blade.

It will give a score line though and you can then complete the cutting with scissors.

    Hope that helps!

  • I have to cut a precise 40mm X 30mm size oval. So the template you show may or may not have 40 X30 mm size included. So whats to keep me from making my own template out of plexiglass? I'm extremely curious why the right side up is so critical to the tools successful use. Also, is why I'm worried that my custom cut template would not work properly. Bottom Line is I need a 30mm X40mm oval pattern cutter.

  • OMG!!! I've had this for 2 years or so and thought it was a waste of money because it wouldn't cut properly - but after watching your vid I now know how to use it! Thanks so much!!!

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH! I have had this for years and could never figure out how to use it. You are great! Thx, for posting it! :)

  • I have the original Shapecutter that doesn't have the plate that goes on the bottom. I have never seen it but will look for it now, as freehand cutting with this tool would probably be easier than the way I'm doing it now with a swivel knife.

  • Great tutorial, Caroline!
