Marriotts Ridge Chorale & Orchestra "Waiting to Fly"

The Marriotts Ridge High School Chorale and Orchestra perform my piece "Waiting to Fly" at their spring concert. The song began with all 120 members of the chorale answering an 8 question survey with questions such as "What's your biggest fear?" , "describe a time when a parent's advice was actually helpful" and "what person, living or dead, would you like to share a pizza with?" The answers were amazing and all the lyrics came entirely from those responses.

This was such an honor and I thank the incredible students and teachers of Marriotts Ridge for this thrill. And of course special thanks to Terry Eberhardt for making it all possible!

BTW, the overwhelming fear among the kids, by far, was Justin Bieber.
