We made it another winter without ferry access to Vermont. This morning the Essex-Charlotte ferry, owned and operated by Lake Champlain Transportation, resumed service between New York State and Vermont. I recorded this video footage this morning at the very first boat from Charlotte, Vermont arrived in Essex, New York. Spring has finally begun!

  • @PorterAnderson Thanks, Porter! Appreciate your noticing how well those geese exceeded their Actors Equity contracts. Only three takes. First time they thought I wanted synchronized swimming. You know how that is... And the second time, they got spooked when somebody thought they saw Champ (the Lake Champlain Monster who's actually 100% friendly, but VERY big and slimy after a winter 400' under the surface.) The soundtrack is Paul Mottram's "In the Beginning". It's a powerful composition!

  • Not only beautiful video (and nice music, who is that?) but also some very fine performances by the geese, they look professional to me.
