  • Anyone know what the little red thing is being dragged out the end of the video??

  • Its a portable 50kg Dry Powder Unit.

  • this is a exercise right??

  • Yes...just one of the many regular exercises we carry out.

  • how many times a year do they practice this?

  • thats an interesting training rig, the rigs I've seen around here resembles more of currogated steel pipes welded together and a horizontal beam with steel barrels under it to simulate a flight platform.

The little red chanister appears to be a foam fire extinguisher...if so I'm guessing its for fighting aviation fuel fire.

  • They train like this on my base at least once every few months. You'll see a huge cloud of black smoke in the distance off the flight line. Pretty cool stuff.

  • GOOD VID

  • you have to wonder how much longer this very important and realistic training will be allowed to continue before the eco brigade claim that the pollution caused is more important than training.

  • i did my CAT1 training at manchester when it could be done there

  • they did a very good job in specific time reguierd and very profintional work and the first attack by the monitor from the driver was amazing the intire operation was succed and willdon

  • Excellent video

  • The firemen made short work of that !

  • Those guys are fast...!!!
