"Sitting Ducks" PC game by ASOBO Studio

Granted, this does not reflect the current production standards of ASOBO Studio, but this game, while fun, reflect poor development of the memory optimization for the PC port of the PS2/Xbox game. Asobo's forte is games for consoles, so the PC port has left out some things such as rendering throttle and multiplayer support - things usually managed by the console itself. The game shows low framerate because Asobo hasn't developed the PC memory manager completely - another console managed function. It plays for a few minutes at good framerate, then it slows down or speeds up tremendously. At least that's what I see on my Dell D600.

In this clip Bill puts in ice block skates, and challenges Fred to a race. At the race start, Bill dons a "Quack the Ripper" mask to scatter the passersby - though the teeth or the gator mask would have done the same.

Another fault is that the directional arrow is set "as the crow flies" - or as in the case of this series, "as Raoul flies." It should have pointed the way as is done with the scooter races by directional walls or flag tape for the city and country races respectively.

I haven't gotten a copy of Ratatouille, but I hope they have worked on these three to make it fully enjoyable on the PC.

Another beef is that the game enjoyment is cut down somewhat in the conversion process - in the console version 10 characters can be played. In this game, only Bill, Aldo, or Bill/Raoul can be played, and only on the specific missions they are set for. Also, you can't go everywhere - the game world does need to be expanded.

There was too much taken out of the final product. Multiplayer support was deleted, which killed its sales. Not enough conflict or blood to keep attention of most anyone over 8 years old - too peaceable.

It's a good one for anyone who wants to start playing somewhat challenging scenario games, without being overly frustrated with their player dying in a puddle of gore.

No fair, starscream, I thought of the idea first. I've deloped a storyline that expands the romances hinted on the show. Fred the Penguin and Dot Cable, Bill and Bev, Waddle and Ally, and here's one that surprises Aldo himself - Drill Sargeant Duck and Aldo.

Ive got all the scooters. And i have a great way of getting feathers. Completing the later missions. Gives you like 700 feathers

When I played, I waited, saving up for the Cross Country scooter first before playing the first scooter races. It paid off, and with the winnings of the first few races, I bought the rest of the scooters.

Normaly, I completely HATE! kids games i perfer grand theft auto COD4 most bloody games but for some reason i just love this game me and my friends some times play life on it flying planes and stuff.

the game play is outstanding.

some parts im still stuck on but its probably one of the best games ive ever played.

lol the whole game is way too easy, when u have completed it though, its kinda fun cos u can dress as a crocodile in their area and they wont eat you ;)

This game sucks i had it on the PS2 and i just gave it away to a charity shop, i completed a few levels and like jc13jach said it's impossible on the balloon level i'm stuck on the same bit if i can't do it and you can't do it it must be impossible btw get the red scooter it was the best i can't unlock the bird character but i tried it on the balloon mission and it sucks. in multiplayer bill and also and all the scooters are recomended all other characters suck.

@JoopMuffin Me too, mind if i ask what level are you stuck on? I'm stuck on the level where i have to go through all the balloons to unlock the bird i get near the green circle with the "o" in the middle but i just can't reach it in time it's impossible i have completed games for older people but this one is rated 3+ where i live and i can't do it it's a real pain, i think it's impossible so i don't bother playing it anymore.
