This is my iPod Nano 4th generation 8 gig. I got it last year for Christmas and i was heartbroken to see it on top of my dryer. I had left it in my pocket and it had gone through the washer and the dryer. I was pretty sure it was done for. I let it dry for two days under a lamp. Upon plugging it in, it worked.

  • my 5g did not make it :(

it kept making a buzzing noise and wont stop

  • after my 5g did the same it works fine, but the screen is like its full of "gama" and is really awkward

  • ........He put it on lock then unlocked it

  • i am yet to know if there are any faults (sound control etc...) as i am giving it another hour just to make sure it is dry inside before i play around with it. (forgot to say my pin went in when i tested the screen ok, and all icons came up and could be selected as norm, but quickly turned it back off to give it the hour more drying time).

thats after 5 mins fully submerged in water with fairy liquid.

  • My ipod 4th gen was in water for over 5 mins. It was dead> i surrounded it in rice (screen up) for two days. tried it on charge but it was still dead. so i set it infront of my hair dryer around two feet away, and left it there on a medium heat (ipod did not get hot just a little warm) for over 1 hour, i tried it not expecting anything to happen, but it did start up, although the touch screen was not responding. i left it again infront of the dryer for another hour & screen is working------->

  • Same thing happened.

Does anybody have a solution to fix it.

  • hope yours works though mine's pretty much screwed):

  • @BryZhane kinda, when i connect it to the computer or just to charge it the apple logo appears but when its done like turning on i guess, the screen goes black and i just scroll down to shuffle songs..the speakers work like new but when i connect the earphones and turn up the volume, it gets all staticy..and im not sure if the battery maintains charge:/ i called apple and they said they can replace it for 90 bucks

  • @JRGZZ20 That just happened to mine yesterday(it still works but theres a butt-load of water in the screen)..but when i put it in a bowl of rice over night, the water isnt coming out of the screen..did it work for you?

  • omfg this happened to me today (worst day of my life) also mine's a 5th generation ipod nano i got it last christmas too its my life i swear im putting it in a bowl of rice over night hopefully it works well i can't live without my music :/
