Our justice system is just a joke... yeah he was going well in excess of the speed limit but he didn't kill anyone or cause an accident. 12 months in prison is well over the top, read in the paper the other day that some 'thug' blatantly killed someone and got off pretty much scott free, waving his hands in delight as he came out the court!! Makes you think...
Loving the vids though Sven keep 'em up :)

The last speeding fine I received was 7.30 am on a sunday, straight peice of dual carriage way(recorded at 96 mph). I was told I wasn't riding dangerously though. Surely a speed limit is there to stop people driving dangerously. If you are not driving in a dangerous (to you or anyone else) manner, what on earth is the point of enforcing this law. It should only be used to support an officer when he believes you to be riding/driving in a dangerous manner. Can we not think for ourselves anymore?

The judge will get off light, He's one of the social elite, they look after their own. The only way we can start to beat these people is by educating ourselves. Take a look at who owns the banks and therefor control the governments who in turn manipulate the people. For those who don't know, you'll be amazed.....and you'll start to understand the economic recession. By the way I'm a working class mechanic, not a paranoid hippy.......in case you wondered.

He lost a year of his freedom, but how many years was his life extended? While in jail he could not continue to drive like a maniac and eventually get killed by hitting a stray animal or another motorist. Riders like him give motorcycling a bad image. Most fatalities can be avoided if you drive safely. Save the speed for the race track. Maybe this severe penalty will make other riders think about the consequences before speeding.

Why is it legal to sell machinery that exceeds the national speed limit?
In my country the limit is 120kph. My ZX10R will do at least 140kph in 1st gear!, I have another 5 to play with, yay for me.
So, back to the point, how is it right that these vehicles (supercars, even granny cars) are sold when they blatantly break the law by their function? Somethings not quite right there. And yes, let the punishment suit the crime, was the riders skill level evaluated?

@Scorpiusza Well anything used incorrectly can be used to break the law. You could apply the same logic to guns. "omg, they kill people, why are they legal" - they're only stupid in stupid hands.
