  • There is no visible crazing of the edge, however, as with all laser cutting the edge cannot be glued without a reaction, especially using glue substances of low viscosity and long curing time. The type of acrylic doesn't matter much for this sample but we did use cast. Extruded cuts with a more polished edge because of its lower melt point but extruded is not available in the wide range of colours that cast comes in and extruded will not frost when laser engraved.

  • Yes; such accuracy is quite easy for this machine. At 3mm thickness of acrylic the power of the laser is not so important to achieve the accuracy. It's more important to have a good motion control to deliver the beam with reasonable precision.

  • Hi. I'm sorry but that's one of our 'special' files and we don't release it on a general basis but I'm happy to give it to you for ree along with several others like it with every machine you buy from us :)

  • I JUST WANT THE THING IT CUT OUT

  • more power = faster cutting but also = higher cost to purchase. For school use 50w is generally not necessary and over time generally not affordable as a 50w laser will cost approx 2x to service over time compared to a 30w.

  • @valordk and its a 50w not 30 or at least the version we have of this machine at school is a 50w one

  • we have one of these at school its mint

  • @glitchtoast we dont know.

  • How did I end here from trampolines?

  • Wow.

  • Interesting....How much crazing are you experiencing on the edges ? What type of acrylic are you using (cast or extruded)...thanks...
