In 1938, the Café Biarritz opened in a block of luxury flats near Parliament with an ambiance reminiscent of Paris.
The exceptional food complemented by the elegant and refined service endeared it to both Hungarians and foreign guests alike. So unique was the Café Biarritz that it had become a household name in its day, yet the storms of history would send it crashing.
