@geekrichieuk You can get the firelance off a raider. It's just a random experience and has a low possibility of it occurring. It happened to me in front of superduper mart when doing the wastland survival guide quest.

Don't kill the people in fort independence they give u thing 4 power armor and energy gun and u can choose 556 ammo frag grenade radaway
