@deng920616 yes there was a special chapter in between the war of the best, and oda wrote the script for strong world himself. only move considered cannon (it was epesode zero, special for the movie)

the explanation of gear second from Rob Lucci for YOU guys.
luffy starts the gear second with the pumping thingy. That explains that he FASTENS the pumping of his blood. And if normal human will do this it is dangerous. BUT as a devil fruit eater, luffy will have the advantage. he uses this gear as an "adrenalin RUSH" to make his moves faster... and also, stronger. as you can see while luffy fights lucci, luffy is almost dead. That also explains that he almost reach the limit of that gear.

@deng920616 None of the movies are cannon. The only things that matter are what happens in the manga because thats what was written by the author for the developement of the story.

This IS the first time he uses Gear second, the fact that you mention the movies is just plain stupid. 2 facts to prove my point:
1st and most important: The movies are NOT part of the manga and the story. Movies are basically fillers.
2nd When were the movies aired compared to the episodes? Anyone know? I bet you didn't bother checking that, did you...

That doesn't make sense... By definition a filler is something not described in the manga... Was something other than the name "Shiki" been mentioned in the manga? I haven't read it, honestly, but I doubt it was.
